Scattered onboarding, one plugin

The problem

  • Fragmented knowledge. Information needed by new joiners is spread across multiple sources and difficult to navigate without prior context.
  • No interactive guide. The current experience relies on independent checklists, with no way to answer questions, lead through the journey, or personalise their CLAUDE.md.

BuddyBot — a gemma-onboarding Claude Code plugin with three skills: /buddybot (conversational guide for the new joiner), /preboard (sets up the KG record for People/Ops), and /setup-claude-md (personalises their CLAUDE.md) — all backed by live queries against Gemma’s knowledge-graph repo, with ClickUp checklists created from two reusable Task Templates.

One workflow, two template clicks

Internal

When a new hire joins

  • People/Ops runs /preboard. Sets up the new hire’s KG record and assigns roles (buddy, mentor, PD, Onboarding Owner), then creates their ClickUp checklists from the two saved templates.
  • On Day 1, the new hire runs /buddybot. It greets them, explains their plan, and walks the checklist with them for as long as needed — resumable via /rename + /resume across sessions.
